Using my knowledge and practical skills as a Physiotherapist along with my experience as an endurance athlete, I am excited to teach Pilates classes in central Christchurch.
Pilates uses a functional exercise approach to train strength, flexibility and efficient movement patterns.
Whether you are an active person, wanting to enhance your sporting performance or prevent injuries from keeping you sidelined from doing what you love, then Pilates will be a great supplement to an active lifestyle or sporting routine.

I’m Fiona – Physiotherapist, Pilates teacher and Endurance Athlete. Originally from Kilkenny, Ireland I currently live in Christchurch, New Zealand.
You will usually find me in my happy place – exploring the beautiful outdoors on foot, by bike or kayak.
When I’m not being an Endurance Junkie I work as a Physiotherapist and Pilates teacher.

Fiona’s Dowling’s Pilates classes were my first introduction to Pilates and I am totally hooked! I feel so much stronger especially in my core strength which is so important in every part of life but especially helpful with the multi sports I partake in. I have found since doing Fiona’s classes I feel longer & stronger and I love how it incorporates stretching which I am now making a habit of. I highly recommend Fiona she is a great instructor and has inspired me to learn to be a Pilates instructor myself.
