Using my knowledge and practical skills as a Physiotherapist along with my experience as an endurance athlete, I am excited to teach Pilates classes in central Christchurch.


Pilates uses a functional exercise approach to train strength, flexibility and efficient movement patterns.

I’m Fiona – Physiotherapist, Pilates teacher and Endurance Athlete. Originally from Kilkenny, Ireland I currently live in Christchurch, New Zealand.


You will usually find me in my happy place – exploring the beautiful outdoors on foot, by bike or kayak.


When I’m not being an Endurance Junkie I work as a Physiotherapist and Pilates teacher.

Why train with FDP?

Going from a complete beginner to being hooked, Fiona provides a safe and friendly environment. Adding pilates into my training programme is beneficial in more than just strength and injury prevention, it is also a great way to destress from work and focus on recovery. The sport specific class is great for focusing on single sided movements and I believe a huge factor in no running or kayaking injuries on build up to the coast to coast longest day event.

Pilates with Fiona for me is a way of life , as well as supporting my body. It enables me to strengthen mental focus by concentrating on Fiona's voice guiding us through a class. Approaching 60 with an auto immune deficiency called addisons and severe osteoporosis i knew it was important to find an exercise regime that helps me live the best of my life. Fiona teaches so much more than Pilates for my body , its a discipline and a tool to keep healthy and active and most of all strong of body and mind.
